A Sunday of Balance and Gratitude

Last Sunday reminded me of how blessed simple routines can be. The day started early, at 5.40 am, with Fajr prayer at the masjid. The calmness of dawn, followed by a heartfelt tazkirah, was a beautiful way to begin the morning. By 7.05 am, the sun was up, and I felt spiritually recharged. After that, I headed to the market around 7.30 am, searching for duck eggs and grabbing breakfast on the way back. By the time I reached home at 9.30 am, wifey was already preparing lunch, a reminder of how family completes our day. The afternoon was spent sending Chomel2 back to college. We left at 2.30 pm, arrived at 4.00 pm, and I was back home by 6.30 pm. Though tiring, these family duties are a blessing — being present when needed most. As the day came to a close, I went again to the masjid at 7.00 pm for Maghrib prayer, returning by 8.30 pm. My body was tired, but my heart was full.
